Why supply matters

Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply. A coin with 100 billion tokens cannot reach $1,000 without a market cap larger than the world's money supply. Dividing a target market cap by supply shows the real price a comparison implies, which is why this is the honest version of the question.

Circulating versus fully diluted

This calculator uses circulating supply. Coins with large locked or unissued allocations have a much higher fully diluted valuation, and unlocks can dilute holders. Check the coin page for max supply before relying on a multiple.

How is the implied price calculated?

Implied price = target coin's market cap divided by the first coin's circulating supply. The multiple is that price divided by today's price.

Could a coin really reach that market cap?

The calculator does not say. It shows what the comparison implies. For context, the whole crypto market is a few trillion dollars; multiples that need a market cap larger than that are not realistic.
