Reading the heatmap

Each tile is one coin. Area is market cap, so Bitcoin and Ethereum dominate the picture the way they dominate the market; colour is the 24-hour price change, from deep red at -10% or worse to deep green at +10% or better. A sea of one colour means the market is moving together; a mixed board means rotation. The layout is a squarified treemap computed on the server from Coinucation's 20-minute feed, so the page is a static image with links, not a script.

Frequently asked questions

How often does the heatmap update?

Prices and market caps refresh every 20 minutes; the page regenerates every 30 minutes.

Why are some coins missing?

Wrapped, staked and tokenized versions of other assets are excluded from Coinucation's rankings, so the heatmap shows the underlying coins only.
